*XREAL Eye can be used to take photos with XREAL One Glasses, but XREAL Beam Pro is required to shoot a mixed-reality video.
XREAL One alone supports 3DoF (three degrees of freedom). 3DoF only tracks the movement of the user's head, and does not recognize the user's position. Therefore, it is not possible to "approach a display that appears to be floating in the air."
By using XREAL Eye, you can add 6DoF (6 Degrees of Freedom) functionality to XREAL One.
If you insert XREAL Eye into the bridge of XREAL One, it will support 6DoF (six degrees of freedom), which recognizes the position of the user's head as well as the direction of the user's head. You can place the virtual display anywhere you like, move around it, and even go behind the display.
Even if the text on the virtual display is small, it becomes easier to read by simply moving closer to the display. Also, when watching a live video of a musician, moving around the virtual display gives you the feeling of being at the concert.
Although the XREAL Eye is a single camera, it uses data from an IMU (inertial measurement unit) to reproduce an experience similar to that of a dual camera. In addition, the XREAL Eye uses the built-in battery of the XREAL One, but the increase in power consumption is kept to less than 3%.
By wearing the XREAL Eye, you can take photos and videos.
When the XREAL Eye is connected, the multi-function button on the XREAL One changes to the role of a shutter button. Press the button once briefly to take a photo, and press and hold to take a video.
The recorded pixels of the saved photos are 2016 x 1512 pixels, and the file format is JPEG. It is equipped with an "anti-aliasing" function that processes jagged edges, and a noise reduction function.
The video recording resolution is 1600 x 1200 pixels, and the file format is MP4. The frame rate supports 30/60 FPS and is equipped with EIS (electronic image stabilization). Audio is recorded by the stereo microphone on the XREAL One side.
The continuous video recording time is up to 60 seconds, and the video is saved in the XREAL One's built-in storage (2GB). When connected to the AR computing device "XREAL Beam Pro", the video is saved in the Beam Pro's storage.
To prevent misuse of the camera's photography function, a shutter sound will sound and an LED will light up when taking photos or videos, and these features cannot be turned off.
